  • Keep telling yourself that, but we're all interdependent, it's part of living in a society. I had no control over Wall St. CEO's effects on the economy. But yeah, sure blame the victims. Why not blame the disaster on the gulf coast on the pelicans or fisherman too.

  • sometimes business isn't everything. Part of the problem in this country is everything boils down to $$$. And I call BS on them not pandering to either national party, the state is so gerrymandered in favor of the GOP it's not funny.

  • I think it has something to do with their board of education being dominated by zealots. I'd normally tell kids to stay in school, but in Texas, there's apparently not much point.

  • Pure free market capitalism has never worked either, most countries are somewhere in between socialism and capitalism. That includes us, though the right wing will never admit it. The real debate, not the 10 sec sound-byte garbage, is how far we should lean and in which direction.

  • Independents are a mixed bag. There's no unified voting or ideological bloc among them. Trying to group them all together in one neat little package is a disservice to all of them. It's the same as that "silent majority" baloney.
